Tigers extend offer to NBA legends son

The Auburn coaching staff extended an offer to 2024 combo guard Dylan Harper on Wednesday. Dylan is a New Jersey native and plays his high school ball at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey.

Ramsey is regarded as a four-star by 247Sports’ recruiting rankings. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds. 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 33 overall prospect in the ’24 recruiting class and the No. 2 overall combo guard in the class. The other schools that have offered Harper thus far are Rutgers, Texas Tech, Georgetown, Indiana, and Missouri.

Many people may not know that Dylan’s father is Ron Harper. His father played sixteen seasons in the NBA for the Cavaliers, Clippers, Bulls, and Lakers. From 2005 to 2007, he was an assistant coach for the Pistons. During the span of his career, he won five NBA championships.

To go along with that, his brother, Ron Harper Jr., played for Rutgers. Harper Jr. recently entered the 2022 NBA draft after having played in four seasons with the Scarlet Knights. With that being said, Rutgers will likely be at the top of his list when he makes his decision. However, Bruce Pearl and his staff are looking to lure Harper in their direction. They have different plans for the talented guard from New Jersey.
