Arellano University head coach Obet Javier can only be proud of his players after they pulled off a gutsy come-from-behind victory against San Beda despite some challenges during their training.
According to Javier, his players had an off day in practice on Monday, or just a day before they clashed with the Lady Red Spikers on Tuesday. Still, they showed composure to emerge on top and remain unbeaten in two games.
Wala, talagang lahat naka-off eh,” Javier shared on the heels of their 27-29, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 win against San Beda.
One of Javier’s moves during the games was to use the team’s second setter in Kristine Adanate instead of their usual playmaker in Donnalyn Paralejas. That decision, though, paid off for Javier as Adante finished with 21 excellent sets.
With Adante running their offense, spikers like Charmina Diño, Nicole Sasuman, Trina Abay, and Cess Bello got their rhythm back especially in the latter parts of the match.
