This week the Mamelodi Sundowns will begin negotiations with Royal AM for the transfer of Shaune Mogaila.
The fast-paced 26-year-old midfielder is one of the players the Sundowns technical team has identified for next season, Phakaaathi was told.
A source close to the people running Mogaila’s affairs told Mgosi Squad that a meeting has been scheduled for this week.
“They are very serious about him and had identified him while he was with TS Galaxy, but Royal AM beat them. They still want him and have talked to the managers about him.
“But they told them he has a deal with Royal AM, so they have to communicate with them,” the source said.
Royal AM is believed to be one of the teams that look after their players in terms of remuneration and wages and Sundowns will have to fork out to get MaMkhize to release Mogaila.
“He is one of the best players we have on the team and I don’t see him freeing himself so easily. But if he’s going to be what I heard he could be, then they might take him.
“I’ve heard the Sundowns will offer some players more money to the club. If they offer good enough players, I think MaMkhize will think about the offer, “a source from the club said.
