Marika Koroibete leads Wild Knights to the inaugural League One title

Marika Koroibete led the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights to the Japanese club’s rugby union title on Sunday as the ambitious reborn league concluded a stop-start debut season marked by coronavirus outbreaks.

The Wallabies player scored a first-half try when Saitama beat All Black’s Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath Damian McKenzie 18-12 in the Japan Rugby League One final on a sweltering afternoon at Tokyo’s National Stadium.
