Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi investigated by the SEC after the US IPO

Didi said in its annual report that it is being investigated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC opened the sample after Didi’s US IPO last year.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating didi after its tarnished initial public offering, adding further pressure to the Chinese ride-hailing giant.

Didi said in its annual report, released Monday, that he was contacted by the SEC after the company went public. The SEC “investigated the offer,” Didi said.

“We are cooperating in the investigation, in strict compliance with applicable PRC laws and regulations. We cannot predict the timing, outcome or consequences of such an investigation.”
