Kapuso stars, celebrities pay homage to Philippine folklore in Tim Yap’s Shake Rattle & Ball Halloween party

Tim Yap’s annual star-studded Halloween party dubbed “Shake Rattle & Ball” featured celebrities in their Philippine folklore-inspired outfits for a night of grotesque and spook.

In Tuesday’s episode of “Unang Balita,” Tim said he wanted to spotlight Philippine folklore for this year’s ball to shed more light on our culture.

“Lagi ang Halloween, laging Western, laging banyaga. Dapat naman makaron tayo ng local version natin,” the eventologist said.

Held in the National Museum of Anthropology on Monday night, “Shake Rattle & Ball” was attended by plenty celebrities, including a number of Kapuso stars who understood the assignment and dressed to impress!

The “Shake Rattle & Ball” event also signaled the launch of the exhibit “Alamat” in the National Museum of Anthropology’s outdoor courtyard and Gallery 2, featuring the works of National Artist Kidlat Tahimik and young contemporary artist Leeroy New.

The exhibit will be opened to the public starting on Tuesday and will remain open until the end of the year. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
