James Yap is now a Bossing.
Yap confirmed on Thursday that he joined Blackwater, just weeks after he and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters parted ways.
“Say hello to your new Bossing, James Yap,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
Blackwater team owner Dioceldo Sy also welcomed Yap to the team.
Aside from a new team, Yap will also have a new jersey number as he will now carry no. 15.
He wrote a short message as he bade farewell to his jersey no. 18 which he used since he was playing in the amateur ranks.
“I guess it’s safe to say that this number will always be a part of me, my career, my whole life. Thank you God for the privilege, the blessings, the awards, and championships I got, while carrying this number,” he wrote.
Rain or Shine previously said it will retire Yap’s jersey no. 18.
