During the NBA offseason, superstar guard James Harden was adamant about pushing his way to his hometown Los Angeles Clippers after opting into the final year of his deal with the Philadelphia 76ers and requesting to be traded.
Even though it seemed like a deal between the 76ers and Clippers would never happen, with these two teams struggling to see eye-to-eye, the blockbuster trade finally went through a few games into the 2023-24 campaign.
It seemed as though both teams got what they wanted in the deal, even though Terance Mann wasn’t involved.
However, the Harden experience hasn’t gone all that well so far in Los Angeles, as the team has struggled to figure out how to play their four stars together or at least how to stagger them in order to get the best out of these elite basketball players.
Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas believes the problem is Harden is trying to play point guard when he should be playing his natural position as a shooting guard, via Legion Hoops.
Gilbert Arenas on James Harden:
“The problem is he’s at the 2, but he’s trying to be a point guard still. He has to be a SHOOTING guard.”

With the Clippers currently on a five-game losing streak, head coach Tyronn Lue and his coaching staff have their work cut out for them moving forward, as clearly, some things need to be fixed in order to get this team playing to the best of its ability.
It’ll be interesting to see if Lue and company can turn things around in Los Angeles in order to get this star-studded roster to work because if they can get the firing on all cylinders, the Clippers will be a scary sight for any opposing team.
