Quarterback is the most important position in all of team sports, but unfortunately for football fans, a number of such players have been hit with serious injuries this season.

Deshaun Watson, Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, Daniel Jones, and rookie Anthony Richardson are all out for the season due to various injuries, and on Thursday, Joe Burrow was added to that list due to a torn ligament in his right wrist.

This means fans will be deprived of some marquee matchups and high-quality ball as the NFL approaches the stretch run of the 2023 season, as Adam Schefter pointed out all the quality QBs who are banged up.

Fans of different teams are dismayed that so many signal-callers are out right now.

This fan wonders if there are more injuries these days than there were in the past.

This fan pointed out how important QB room depth is.

Last season was also a rough one for quarterbacks, as a number of them got injured, and there was more than one team that actually had multiple quarterbacks go down with injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers saw Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, their top two QBs, get injured by Week 13, and just when Brock Purdy, who was third on their depth chart, was inexplicably playing well, he suffered a torn UCL early in the NFC Championship Game.

Then his replacement, Josh Johnson, suffered a concussion, forcing Purdy to return to the game even though he was practically unable to throw the football due to his UCL injury.

Perhaps all these ailments have simply been bad luck for a period of time.
