The ‘Final at-bat from the World Series’ quiz

For the first time in franchise history, the Texas Rangers are World Series champions.

Bruce Bochy’s squad handled its business against the Arizona Diamondbacks, needing only five games to take home the hardware. It’s a remarkable turnaround for a team that lost 196 games in the previous two seasons and had not had a winning season since 2016. Shortstop Corey Seager cemented himself as the modern-day Mr. October, winning his second World Series MVP, the first to do so in each league. That’s not all the good news for Texas, either. Every significant member of the 2023 team should be back in 2024, meaning this likely won’t be the last time we see the Rangers competing for a World Series this decade.

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. The last pitcher from the World Series. The last batter from the World Series. How many of each since 2000 can you name in six minutes?

Good luck!
